Tara Moneka is a Black Iraqi artist and singer whose music bridges cultures, histories, and traditions. Born in Baghdad and raised in a Sufi family, she blends Afro-Sufi, Arabic, and Swahili influences with Jazz, R&B, Soul, Funk, Blues, Maqam, and Afrobeat. Singing in Arabic, English, Urdu, Spanish, Turkish, and Swahili, she treats music as a universal language.

Her journey began at 13 on The Voice Middle East. As the lead of Dijlah, an all-women band, Tara amplifies women’s rights through sound. Her performances connect past and future, East and West, with resilience and purpose.
