Gabriel da Muda (Gabriel Cavalcante) is a renowned singer, songwriter, and cavaquinho player from Rio de Janeiro. Raised in the Muda neighborhood, he is one of the leading voices in the revitalization of Rio's samba scene.

He is one of the founders of the traditional samba circle Samba do Ouvidor and a permanent member of Samba do Trabalhador. His musical style is deeply focused on traditional samba (samba de raiz), choro, and classic MPB.

For his significant impact on Rio's culture, he was awarded the prestigious Pedro Ernesto Medal, and he has released acclaimed works, such as the album "Se for, me chama".
